The Kalkalpen National Park-village of Rossleithen is situated in the centre of the Garstner Valley and stretches between the Mountain Ranges Sengsengebirge (Hoher Nock) and Warscheneckstock (Totes Gebirge). Due to its central area situated between the ski areas of Höss in Hinterstoder as well as Wurzeralm in Spital am Pyhrn both can be reached within a few minutes. Also centrally located lies the Villa Sonnwend, within the cross country trail system and entry point to the Kalkalpen National Park and many snow shoe hike routes. Animal lovers will enjoy our horse riding hall or a horse sleigh ride through the idyllic landscape. Fun for the entire family is offered by the Game and Leisure Park Enghagen. Over 300 animals of 60 different species live in this 20 ha large animal park. Rossleithen made its name due to the many scythe smiths along the river of Piessling in early days. The scythe factory of the company Schröckenfux is the only scythe smith still in operation and can be viewed on arrangement. |
