Klaus an der Pyhrnbahn, as well as the villages of Steyrling and Kniewas offer stunning winter walking trails and ice curling tracks as well as interesting sights like the Castle of Klaus an der Pyhrnbahn and the Mountain Church Klaus an der Pyhrnbahn. From Kniewas (Steyrbrücke) the river Steyr leads through a deep gorge, which has been flooded since 1975 due to a dam wall. The resulting Reservoir of Klaus is not only used for power generation but has also become a leisure centre.
