Quality-checked family holiday with childcare means, amongst other things, a safe location, rooms suitable for children and hotel facilities with plenty of space to play and romp around, lots of things to discover and explore outside the house and restaurant menus to suit the tastes of younger guests. A family-friendly programme has been devised in co-operation with partners from service, trade and catering industries. Whilst mum and dad are free to pursue their favourite activities, there's never a dull moment for their offspring.
The family specialists in the catergories "Children's Hotels“, Family Dwarves, Holiday on the Baby and Children's Farm and the "family-friendly“ properties must fulfill the following minimum criteria: Location of the property:
Safe location (no dangerous areas, green and play areas completely protected from traffic)
Family room facilities:
- Spacious rooms with plenty of free space even when two children are sharing with their parents
- Cots
- Child-safe equipment and sockets
- Washing line to dry clothes in the bathroom and/or on the balcony
- Baby package (baby bath, thermometer, nappy bin, bottle warmer, potty, nappy changing mat, baby monitor)
Restaurant area (only for properties offering food):
- Non-smoking area
- Children's high-chairs
- Children's menus, children's portions, children's drinks
Play area:
- Visible playground (completely protected from traffic) with sandpit, climbing and physical activity equipment (e.g. swing, slide etc.) mobile play equipment (e.g. large building blocks, sandpit toys etc.)
- Playroom or playhouse (easily accesible, bright, friendly and well ventilated, windows are obligatory) safety sockets, lots of mobile toys (cube cushions, etc.) Games and drawing materials
Services:
- Preferential treatment of families with children (e.g. children are served first at dinner, special requests taken into consideration)
- Family-friendly atmosphere in the house (children are allowed to be noisy)
- Family-friendly enquiry information (age of children, whether sharing with parents, baby package etc.)
- Organisation of babysitting at anytime and childcare (extra cost)
- Laundry service (e.g. coin-operated washing machine, dirty laundry washed)
- Dr. facilities
