Rosenau am Hegstpass in Winter		Rosenau am Hengstpass is truly the Kalkalpen National Park – village. The scenic mountain pass Hengstpass forms the connection to the neighbouring province and valley , the Styrian Ennstal.  In summer Rosenau am Hegstpass offers numerous Hiking Paths as well as rock climbing routes for the sporty visitor.  The Cross Country Skiing Trail and Biathlon Centre Innerrosenau is not only a sport centre for the winter season but turns into a real skater’s paradise in summer with 3 km of well tarred tracks! Nature lovers and mountain freaks can also enjoy great biking trails here and find a real challenge in the mountain-bike-trail „Langfirst“ from the Haslersgatter to the mountain meadows of the Hengstpass. A range of mountian huts  cater for you and spoil you with home made specialities like fruit wine, bacon, breads and much more...   Also part of this municipal area is the Wurbauerkogel, which is not only starting point for paragliders and hang gliders but also features the visitor centre for the Kalkalpen National Park with its unique Panorama Tower and the remarkable exhibition „Faszination Rocks“ . You can see 21 mountain peaks over 2000 m above sea level from here. Easy reach of the entire area is guaranteed with the Call bus.
