Biathlon at the Cross Country & Biathlon Centre Innerrosenau

The Cross Country and Biathlon Centre at the foot of the Hengstpass in Rosenau – a unique natural idyll of the Kalkalpen National Park – is renowned for its many national and international biathlon sport events.

Inside tip for biathlon runners with artificial snow trails!

Next to classical and skating trails, the cross country and biathlon centre is also the competence centre for nordic winter sports. Amateurs and top athletes train here on 25 km of perfectly groomed trails most of them with artifical snow facilities. A modern shooting range with 26 units as well as a outbuilding with toilet and changing area.

The cross country and biathlon centre Innerrosenau is known as one of the most snow secure cross country facilitiesin Upper Austria due to the snow security of the valley and the possibility to produce artificial snow on part of the tracks .

Part of the biathlone facility is used for skating during summer, offering all sport enthusiasts a track for inline skating and shooting. The track has a length of approximately 2 km and consists of high quality asphalt. The completely new shooting arena offers 26 shooting points, roofed and lit, as well as air rifle stands and a penalty round of 50 and 150 m are at your disposal.

Trial-Biathlon for all
"Get ready to shoot!"

Have you always wanted to find out what it feels like to shoot a biathlon weapon and hit the target? You can try it out at the cross country and biathlon centre Innerosenau! Register for a biathlon trial course of about 2 hours and you receive training on how to handle the weapon including trial shots as well as the opportunity to test yourself in a small relay race. At the end you receive your personal “biathlon diploma“.
