In 1986 – more than 20 years ago, the success story of the Alpine Ski World Cup village of Hinterstoder started at the Bärenalm. After eight world cup events at the Bärenalm, the alpine ski world cup circus moved to the village centre of Hinterstoder in 2006.

The new world cup track was named after the local Ski Downhill Champion Hannes Trinkl (St. Pankraz) , finally to be initiated on 5. February 2011 with the Men’s super-G race. The challenging and top modern race track has a total length of 2.250 Metern, an average drop of 35 percent and steep slopes of up to a 60 percent drop. The entertainment surrounding the mega event is also something to look forward to.

The entertainment program with national and international ski and music stars will put the lime light onto the region, when the ski circus visits here again on 5 and 6. February 2011.
