Benedictine Monastery of Admont - Library & Museum

At the entrance to the National Park you'll find the Benedictine Monastery of Admont, which has been the cultural centre of the region for over 900 years.
The cultural highlight is the largest monastery library in the world, which was completed in 2003 with one of Austria’s most diversified private museum can also be found here: 3600m² of exhibition area invite you to explore the vast variety of cultural and nature historical collections as well as a fascinating multi-media show. The museum of contemporary art and the area for special exhibitions complete this magnificent offer. After a visit to the library and museum take some time to visit the new gothic monastery church, the monastery cellar restaurant or take a stroll through the beautiful park with its herb garden.
