Up to 1967 the Steinbach knife makers created real masterpieces under the toughest working conditions in the Franz Pils & Sons knife factory. Today the craft is presented in the knife maker museum covering a space of over 200m². A special exhibition "The Life of a Knife Maker" illuminates the life, customs and social structures of the time and takes place in an old knife makers flat.
