Walk past the former tannery Purgleitner in the Linzer Street in Windischgarsten, along the small road Güterweg „Enökl“ at the foot of the Kalvarienberg mountain towards the Veichltal valley.

The path continues along the Salzabach stream, passing the right turn to the Salzatal valley – a further 100m down the path turn right to a small path (Leitersteig) with the number AV 472. The climb leads uphill to the left around the Patzkogel mountain continuing steeply up to the Haslersgatter height and along the Schafsteig climb past the broadcasting station Kleinerberg down to the small road (Güterweg) to Muttling – Kleinerbauer (AV 475) - WurbauerkogelWindischgarsten.

Perhaps you are in the mood for a fast taboggan run and take the summer tabogganing track into the valley. The track is situated on the 858m high Wurbauerkogel and was built in 1979 with a length of 1.530 m and therefore the longest summer tabogganing track in Europe. A total of 12 turns and 2 tunnels get you to a top speed of up to 40 km/h while dropping a total of 223 m in altitude.. ATTENTION: The taboggan track only operates on dry days. The Alpine Coaster, however, running along tracks is open on rainy days as well!
