Strating point to the Veichl valley is the former tannery Purgleitner in the Linzerstraße in Windischgarsten. From here the road leads past the retirement village to the Kalvarienberg mountain.

Walk next the Salza stream into the valley, past the stud farm „Moar im Hof“ the road (Nr. 24)leads into the Veichl valley. A well walkable gravel road leads you along a quarry to a small idyllic pond.

The gravel road leads into the onset of the Rettenbach valley, where you turn left and walk along the road (Nr. 20) of the Rading valley to forest road nr. 462 over a hill and through the farmhouse „Rumplmayr“. Return to the Kalvarienberg mountain along trail nr. 20 .
