About 600 km of marked hiking trails in all levels of difficulty, from walks to demanding alpine climbs are on offer at the Pyhrn-Priel Holiday Region.

You will reach many romantic alpine pastures and inviting huts along the many hiking trails. It is worth to stop for a rest and to enjoy the local and often home made delicacies from home made breads, smoked hams or fresh cider, which taste even better in the traditional and original surroundings. Many alpine huts offer overnight sleeping facilities. Festive evenings and the acclaimed rustic flair are worth experiencing. Should you prefer to experience the alpine set up on your own, there are self catering huts for rental. Especially the atmosphere during evenings and mornings make for a true alpine experience.
Many alpine pastures can be reached by car and are therefor an easy excursion destination for the elderly or families. Most alpine huts are open from May to October.
